- With over 30 years of transformative leadership in the insurance and technology sectors, Sowmya Murthy is a senior executive specializing in technology, risk management, insurance product development and business transformation. Currently serving as Chief Risk Officer for Allianz Technology and Allianz Services globally, Sowmya has been instrumental in spearheading IT risk management practices and fostering a culture of safeguarding and governance. Sowmya brings significant knowledge and experience from having worked in business functions such as Regional Head of Account Management in APAC, Head of Allianz Technology UK & Ireland, Allianz Consulting. With a robust background at AXA Group, Sowmya executed several compliance transformation projects and was responsible for product development of pet, home, and travel insurance products. Holding an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from Lancaster University, Sowmya has a General Management Certificate of Achievement from Cambridge Judge Business School. On a personal note, Sowmya enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with her family & friends.
