
Sergio Scandizzo

- Sergio Scandizzo is adjunct lecturer at the University of Luxembourg and an expert and Coach for the Agence de Transfert de Technologies Financières (ATTF). He is the author of Climate-related Financial Risk, co-authored with Tony Hughes, Risk and Governance, The Operational Risk Manager’s Guide, and of Validation and Use Test in AMA, all published by Risk Books, and of The Validation of Risk Models, published by Palgrave MacMillan. Sergio is Associate Editor of The Journal of Operational Risk and the author of many journal papers on fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, and risk management. In 2009 he was recognised as one of the “Top 50 Faces of Operational Risk” by OpRisk and Compliance magazine. Sergio worked for more than twenty years at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg where he held senior risk management positions. Prior to his tenure at the EIB, he was a principal in the London office of PricewaterhouseCoopers and, prior to that, a senior manager in the Global Risk Advisory team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto. He holds advanced degrees in computer science and finance.
