Following 23 years at the FCA, David Blunt now has a portfolio career as a consultant, senior adviser, non-executive director and facilitator.
For his last 10 years at the FCA David led different areas of Supervision and was part of the FCA’s Senior Leadership Team. David led the Conduct Specialists Department in Supervision where his role included being the accountable executive for the FCA's priority of culture transformation across financial services firms and the roll-out of the SMCR to all authorized firms. Before that, David led the Investment Banks Supervision Department, responsible for the supervision of c1500 non-UK banks and other financial services institutions doing business in the UK.
David qualified as a solicitor working for Hogan Lovells for five years before joining the London Stock Exchange and then the FSA.
