Erkka Näsäkkälä

- Erkka Näsäkkälä is the former Deputy Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for SEB. The CRO function in SEB Group, is the independent 2nd line Risk Management function ensuring that all risks inherent in the activities of SEB are identified, assessed, measured , monitored, managed, and reported.
Before joining SEB in 2011, Erkka has worked for Nordic Investment Bank and Depfa plc. He started his banking career as a quantitative Credit risk analyst.
He also has experience from several Risk Management and Control positions in
the areas of Credit, Market, and Non-Financial risks. Prior to his banking career Erkka worked as a software developer in the Tech industry and as a researcher
on electricity derivative markets.
Erkka holds a doctoral degree in Engineering Physics and Mathematics
from Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland).
