Biography Anuja is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for the UK (SMF 4), Ireland and Middle East, responsible for developing, directing and managing the overall risk management program to ensure effective identification, measurement, control and management of the relevant risks facing State Street. Anuja is a member of several senior risk committees both in the UK and globally. She reports to the Chief Risk Office for State Street. Prior to joining State Street in 2024, Anuja held a variety of leadership roles in Citibank N.A. (Citigroup) across Technology (1st Line of Defence) & Risk management (2nd Line of Defence) teams with experience spanning Enterprise Risk, Credit & Counterparty risk, Country Risk, FMI (Financial Market Infrastructure) Risk and Regulatory Risk as well as experience of leading complex global change programs. Most recently in Citi, Anuja was the EMEA Head of Risk & Governance, with responsibility of managing Citi’s financial & non-financial portfolio risks in EMEA from a region, country & legal entity dimension and overseeing the office of the EMEA CRO. Anuja holds a Master of Science (Hons) degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electrical & Electronics from Birla Institute of Technology And Science, Pilani (Rajasthan, India).
