- Marina is a senior risk management and innovation specialist with expertise in global capital markets. Her core focus spans market abuse, conduct risk, fraud, financial crime, and trade surveillance, alongside emerging areas such as AI governance, large language models, and data privacy. She has hands-on experience designing AI and LLM solutions to drive efficiencies in risk management. In the past, she served as Global Markets Head of Risk & Control Assessment at BNP Paribas and Head of Audit for several countries at Citigroup. Marina has a strong track record of working with regulators globally, having acted as lead validator on regulatory conduct risk programmes sanctioned by the US Federal Reserve and the US Department of Justice at top-tier banks. Her broader career also encompasses quantitative research, corporate restructuring, and due diligence work on M&A transactions and IPOs. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds academic credentials from Wharton, Oxford Saïd Business School, London Business School, and Warwick Business School, with studies spanning technology entrepreneurship, AI, ESG, FinTech, and investment management. Beyond her professional roles, Marina is an active voice in the broader financial and technology community. She co-founded a global Tech Network, sits on the ICAEW Financial Services Faculty Board, Digital Assets Steering Group and the London Business School Alumni Tech Club ExCo. She has participated in consultations on AI assurance, regularly speaks at global conferences and contributes to industry journals on topics including conduct risk, digital assets, AI, sustainability, and serves as a guest lecturer on Executive MBA programmes.
