Peter Knott
National Wealth Fund
- Peter joined the National Wealth Fund in September 2022 as Chief Risk Officer. In this role, he leads the Risk and Compliance teams for NWF, helping to deliver the government's growth and clean energy missions. Prior to joining NWF, Peter was Chief Risk Officer and then Chief Financial Officer of the UK Green Investment Bank plc. He joined at its launch in 2012 and, post privatisation, was appointed head of Portfolio Management as it scaled to a global business under Macquarie’s ownership. Peter was previously Chief Risk Officer of the Consumer and SME businesses of Standard Chartered before being appointed Group Head of Operational Risk. He has lived and worked in Asia and New York and has broader investment experience through positions with JP Morgan Chase and Robert Fleming. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at the Scottish National Investment Bank.
